Why do you have a tattoo? Why do you not have a tattoo? Why did you remove a tattoo? How long before your next tattoo? As part our up-coming January 2009 exhibit, The Sea Within Us: Iconically Maritime in Fashion and Design, we will be exploring the present-day life and lore of that iconic mariner's motif, the tattoo. Any and all designs are encouraged, not just classic maritime. Send us yours!

With several hundred historical maritime paintings in the MMM collection, we need to remind ourselves that marine painting is indeed a vital, living art genre. So it is that we are very pleased to be showcasing this eye-catching collection of new works by ASMA members.
